California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

This California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) disclosure supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to California residents whose personal information we collect through SmartQuoteInsure.com, operated by Click Circle LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). Terms used in this page have the meanings given to them in the CCPA and its implementing regulations.

Your Rights Under the CCPA

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

Right to Know — You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources of that information, the business or commercial purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
Right to Delete — You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law.
Right to Correct — You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing — You may direct us not to sell or share your personal information. See "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" below.
Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of your CCPA rights.
Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information — Where applicable, you may direct us to limit the use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the Services.

Categories of Personal Information We Collect

In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information, as defined under the CCPA:

Identifiers — such as name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and IP address
Commercial information — such as your vehicle information and insurance coverage history
Internet or other electronic network activity — such as browsing behavior, pages viewed, and interactions with our Site
Geolocation data — such as ZIP code or general location inferred from your IP address
Inferences — such as preferences or characteristics inferred from the information above

We collect this information directly from you (for example, through our quote questionnaire), automatically through your use of the Site, and from third parties such as our carrier and marketing partners.

How We Disclose Personal Information

We disclose the categories of personal information listed above to the following categories of third parties for business purposes: insurance carriers, agents, and marketing partners; service providers who help us operate the Site; and analytics providers. Sale or Sharing of Personal Information

Under the CCPA's broad definitions, sharing your information with our insurance carrier and marketing partners so that they can contact you about relevant offers may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, even though no money changes hands for your specific data. We do not sell personal information to data brokers for unrelated purposes.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

To opt out of this sharing, you can:

Email us at info@smartquoteinsure.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information," or
Set the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, which we honor as a valid opt-out request

How to Submit a Request

To exercise your right to know, delete, or correct your personal information, contact us at info@smartquoteinsure.com. To protect your privacy, we will take steps to verify your identity before fulfilling your request, which may include confirming information you have already provided us. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may require proof of the agent's authorization and verification of your identity.

We will respond to verified requests within the timeframe required by the CCPA. There is no charge to submit or have us respond to a verifiable request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded, in which case we may charge a reasonable fee or decline to act on the request.

Shine the Light

California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code Section 1798.83) permits California residents to request certain information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, contact us using the information below.
